Eurogypsum organises the 7th edition of the European Gypsum Recyclers Forum

In the context of Europe’s housing supply crisis and the need to build, renovate and repurpose more buildings, circular practices are of utmost importance in the construction sector.
The European gypsum industry has long been promoting closed-loop recycling models for plasterboard, in cooperation with the entire value chain, as an important source of the raw material that is so essential to key products used extensively in our homes and offices.
Given the unique properties of gypsum, the raw material could be eternally recyclable. However, several obstacles impede access to the necessary quantities of recyclable gypsum waste needed.
As part of our industry’s commitment, Eurogypsum organises a biennial Gypsum Recyclers Forum bringing together specialists along the gypsum recycling supply chain, to review progress and work together to overcome obstacles along this path.
