EUROGYPSUM is particularly proud to join forces with EU associations representing the aggregates (UEPG) and cement sector (CEMBUREAU) on the launch of a Code of Conduct for species protection in the extractive sector, an initiative conducted in close cooperation with BirdLife International – Europe & Central Asia and HeidelbergCement.
Protecting biodiversity and managing ecosystems in quarries has long been a priority for the European gypsum sector, as demonstrated by many examples across Europe.
The launch event is co-hosted by the European Commission and Business & Biodiversity. It will take place in Brussels on Thursday 28 October 2021 (16.00-17.00 hrs CET), in presence of high-level speakers including EUROGYPSUM’s President, Emmanuel Normant.
